Texas Toaster

Don’t let the name fool you, this pedal packs some serious grit and attitude. Get ready to say “yeehaw” every time you stomp on it.

This ain’t no transparent boost. The Texas Toaster is a full-frequency, no-nonsense gain stage built to push your amp, slam your front end, or bring life to a long pedal chain. Whether you’re waking up a vintage tube amp or giving single-coils some backbone, this little red box has one job: make everything sound better and louder.

It doesn’t color your tone—it toasts it. Warm, thick, and just the right amount of bite. Set it and forget it, or ride the knob like a cowboy rides a bronco.

Features:

  • Classic single-knob full-range boost

  • Top-mounted jacks for tight pedalboards

  • Clean, punchy, and pedal-friendly

  • Built by hand in small batches in Texas

  • 9V center-negative, true bypass

Optional Mods:

🔥 Bleed Mod:
Adds LED clipping, transistor upgrade, and a bigger sweep with a B50K pot. Turns your clean boost into a gritty, amp-like overdriver. We call it Bleeding the Toaster—because sometimes, your boost should bleed.

🔋 Battery Snap Mod:
Want to run the Texas Toaster off a 9V battery? We’ve got you. This internal mod adds a battery snap without cluttering the layout. Just ask when ordering.

Boost smarter. Boost hotter. Toast everything.
Add it to your board and let it speak for itself.

Stuff You Need to Know

I create my pedals manually.

Firstly, I design most of the PCBs and carefully select the parts required for the pedal. Next, I solder the parts by hand and manually wire them. I also design the faceplate art and get it placed into each enclosure myself.

Finally, I clear coat the pedals and hand them to my wife who packages them, and we do all of this work in our living room located in Dallas, Texas.

That’s why every pedal is different.
Every pedal is special.

This is mainly a one-person operation, although my amazing wife helps with packaging and provides me with all the motivation necessary for Spicy Pedals to exist.

Although I make small batches, I don’t keep much inventory because this is a micro-operation. However, we do accept backorders for most of my pedals, but please note that it may take up to two weeks to fulfill your backorder.

In case you opt to backorder a pedal, I will send you an email to inform you about the estimated time required to create your pedal.

I offer a 5-year warranty to the original buyer. If the pedal is not working or it is not doing what it is supposed to do, send me an email, and we’ll figure out what’s up.  Please email me before returning anything.  You can reach me at [email protected].

Thank you very much for visiting my website. All of this has been made out of love for music and stompboxes.
