Texas Scorpion Clean Boost

Unleash the true power of your guitar with the Texas Scorpion Clear Boost, a robust and dynamic transparent boost pedal.

Boost pedals have several purposes. They can help you stand out in key parts of a song, drive your amp without having to turn up the volume, drive other pedals, and enhance their overdrive or distortion. You can place them before your amp, before your favorite overdrive pedal, or even on the FX loop. However, be careful with the Texas Scorpion pedal, as it is very loud and can damage your speakers if not used with care.

Boost pedals are underrated, but you can’t live without one once you understand how they work. This pedal is a transparent boost, which means it enhances the harmonics of your guitar without changing its tone. Personally, I prefer to place my Texas Scorpion after a Big Ancho Fuzz and before a Jalapeño Screammer. This way, I can boost my Big Ancho Fuzz when needed or turbo-drive my Jalapeño Screamer. However, you are free to experiment with different placements.

As mentioned earlier, the Texas Scorpion pedal is loud because it uses a JRC4558D chip ( like the Jalapeño Screamer) instead of traditional transistors. This chip offers stability and increased output, up to an extra 20db of richness.

Stuff You Need to Know

I create my pedals manually.

Firstly, I design most of the PCBs and carefully select the parts required for the pedal. Next, I solder the parts by hand and manually wire them. I also design the faceplate art and get it placed into each enclosure myself.

Finally, I clear coat the pedals and hand them to my wife who packages them, and we do all of this work in our living room located in Dallas, Texas.

That’s why every pedal is different.
Every pedal is special.

This is mainly a one-person operation, although my amazing wife helps with packaging and provides me with all the motivation necessary for Spicy Pedals to exist.

Although I make small batches, I don’t keep much inventory because this is a micro-operation. However, we do accept backorders for most of my pedals, but please note that it may take up to two weeks to fulfill your backorder.

In case you opt to backorder a pedal, I will send you an email to inform you about the estimated time required to create your pedal.

I offer a 5-year warranty to the original buyer. If the pedal is not working or it is not doing what it is supposed to do, send me an email, and we’ll figure out what’s up.  Please email me before returning anything.  You can reach me at [email protected].

Thank you very much for visiting my website. All of this has been made out of love for music and stompboxes.
