What it does, in the builder’s own words.

The Modulatron Overloaded is our most unhinged creation yet—a chorus/vibrato pedal with dual LFOs and a built-in overdrive channel.

We took our original Modulatron—already a dual-LFO chorus/vibrato beast—and did what any mad scientist would do: added an overdrive circuit to the clean channel and pushed the whole thing over the edge.

What you’ve got here is a modulation pedal that thinks it’s a drive pedal. Or maybe a drive pedal that dreams in stereo swirl. The clean path is no longer clean—it’s juicy, gainy, and ready to grind. You can still run it like a traditional chorus/vibrato with all the lush, wiggly goodness of the OG Modulatron. But now, flip the blend or crank the Overload knob, and you’re in uncharted territory.

Run your signal into the overdrive and modulate it after… or modulate your clean tone and kick in the Overload to rip it apart. There’s no wrong way to use it. Just spin the six knobs, flip the switch, and follow your ears.

Handwired, tested by humans, and completely out of hand.

Controls:

  • Speed: Adjust the modulation rate from slow sweeps to rapid pulses.

  • Depth: Set how deep the modulation dips. Light shimmer or full-on pitch swings.

  • Blend: Mix from fully dry, to classic chorus, to full vibrato with zero dry signal.

  • Overload: Controls the gain of the clean channel’s overdrive.

  • Curve: Shape your LFO ramp. Think of it as a response dial: smooth, sharp, or something weird in between.

  • Shape: Toggle between sine wave for smooth modulation and square wave for choppy, stuttery effects.

  • Sharpness: Emphasizes high-end detail.

LED Indicators:

  • Yellow LED (Left): Flashes in sync with the modulation rate.

  • Blue LED (Right): Shows when the pedal is powered up.
