Shishito Fuzz Prototype #1

Prototype #1 of the Shishito Fuzz by Spicy Pedals—raw, rare, and roaring with character. Handwired point-to-point, this one-off fuzz delivers vintage chaos with a spicy edge. Aggressive mids, sizzling highs, and woolly lows. Comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Built in Dallas. Not for the faint of fuzz.

This is Prototype #1 of the Shishito Fuzz, the only one ever made by Spicy Pedals. If you’re looking for a rare, boutique fuzz pedal that oozes character and chaos, this is it.

Built entirely with point-to-point wiring (no PCB), the Shishito Fuzz was an experimental one-off—never meant for mass production. It’s raw, hairy, and unfiltered, like a garage band on fire. Expect vintage-inspired saturation with a spicy twist: woolly low-end, aggressive mids, and a sizzly top that cuts through the mix.

Features:

  • One-of-a-kind fuzz circuit
  • Hand-selected components
  • Point-to-point wiring on a hand-cut board
  • Housed in a rugged enclosure with hand-applied labeling
  • True bypass

This pedal has been played, tested, and slightly scorched—just enough to give it soul. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed and dated by the builder, confirming its status as Prototype #1.

If you’re a collector, tone chaser, or just someone who likes rare fuzz with a backstory, this spicy little box belongs on your board—or your mantle.

Stuff You Need to Know

I create my pedals manually.

Firstly, I design most of the PCBs and carefully select the parts required for the pedal. Next, I solder the parts by hand and manually wire them. I also design the faceplate art and get it placed into each enclosure myself.

Finally, I clear coat the pedals and hand them to my wife who packages them, and we do all of this work in our living room located in Dallas, Texas.

That’s why every pedal is different.
Every pedal is special.

This is mainly a one-person operation, although my amazing wife helps with packaging and provides me with all the motivation necessary for Spicy Pedals to exist.

Although I make small batches, I don’t keep much inventory because this is a micro-operation. However, we do accept backorders for most of my pedals, but please note that it may take up to two weeks to fulfill your backorder.

In case you opt to backorder a pedal, I will send you an email to inform you about the estimated time required to create your pedal.

I offer a 5-year warranty to the original buyer. If the pedal is not working or it is not doing what it is supposed to do, send me an email, and we’ll figure out what’s up.  Please email me before returning anything.  You can reach me at [email protected].

Thank you very much for visiting my website. All of this has been made out of love for music and stompboxes.
